Birthi falls
Birthi Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the Pithoragarh district approximately 14 kilometers from Tejam and about 35 kilometers from Munsiyari. The waterfall cascades from a height of around 400 feet (122m), creating a mesmerizing sight amidst lush green surroundings.
Visitors can reach Birthi Falls via the Thal-Munsiyari route. A short trek of about 15-20 minutes from the main road leads to the base of the waterfall, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Situated near Berinag, Chineshwar Waterfall is accessible via a short trek through the serene pine forests. The waterfall holds cultural importance among locals, with various myths and legends associated with it, adding to its allure.

Kalapani
Kalapani, located in the Dharchula region of Uttarakhand, is renowned as the source of the Kali River, also known as the Sharda River in India and Mahakali in Nepal. The area is characterized by its rugged Himalayan terrain and holds significant historical and geopolitical importance due to territorial disputes between India and Nepal.
While Kalapani is primarily known for its river source and the Mahakali Temple, there is no real waterfall. However, the region’s natural beauty includes various streams and smaller cascades that contribute to the Kali River’s flow.

Mahadev waterfall
Mahadev Waterfall, located near the village of Kwiti in Munsiyari, is a serene and picturesque spot. The waterfall is nestled in the lush greenery of the region, providing a peaceful environment for relaxation.
Situated approximately 25 kilometers from Munsiyari, Mahadev Waterfall is accessible via a short trek from the village of Kwiti. The journey to the waterfall offers scenic views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape, making it a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts.
While you are on the way to Munsiyari, visitors can explore other attractions such as the Birthi Waterfall, which is about 10 kilometers further then mahadev waterfall and is one of the highest waterfalls in Uttarakhand.

The journey to the second waterfall involves a short trek through dense forests, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the region’s rich biodiversity and scenic landscapes
While in Madkot, travelers can also explore nearby attractions such as the Madkot Hot Springs, known for their therapeutic properties.
